Experience an historic Pennsylvania German winter season celebration!. Enjoy a glimpse into candlelit seasonal entertaining traditions typical of the 1700s, including live music and a visit with Belsnickel (Pennsylvania German for Saint Nicholas in furs).
Children of all ages will enjoy meeting Belsnickel from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and may even receive some treats! Beginning at dusk, lanterns will light the way to the barn and sheepfold where guests can visit with the animals. While waiting to tour the historic house, join our colonial neighbors as they make toasts, sing songs, and fire their rifles to commemorate the excitement of the season. During the house tour guests will hear 18th century tunes played on various instruments by musician Mark Carroll, see demonstrations of typical evening activities, and enjoy the aromas of seasonal food prepared in the open-hearth.

The museum shop and visitors’ center will be open for the purchase of seasonal gifts and light refreshments.

A $2.00 donation per person is suggested.
